I think it might also work well as a outlet for her frustration when I screw up one of her recipes. I personally would love to see this knife block made out of self-healing material, the same used in the cutting mats, so that you can stab new holes in it every time you put a knife away. Unfortunately, this knife-block was hand carved by Irene van Gestel and I don't think you'll be able to get your hands on one just yet.
